Wrap Up: Accelerate 2025 marked by ‘a call to return to the altar’ and bold moves
The Baptist Resource Network of Pennsylvania/South Jersey spurred 245 guests to bold prayer and bold movement during its fifth annual Accelerate Conference on Oct. 7 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Several BRN churches awarded for boldness during 2025 Accelerate Conference
At the 2025 Accelerate Conference held at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hersey Hotel, several Baptist Resource Network (BRN) churches received awards for their bold ministry this past year. Read More
As a precursor to the conference, the BRN held its 55th annual business session, where BRN Executive Board President Pastor Jason Hunter, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Clarion, greeted 109 messengers and delivered his presidential address. Messengers voted on board member recommendations and the 2026 proposed budget, among other essential decisions.
Dr. Barry Whitworth, BRN executive director, kicked off the Accelerate Conference by highlighting some of the bold next steps that the BRN and its churches have taken in the past year, while also calling guests to a movement of bold prayer.
During the second main session of Accelerate, CEO/President of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Executive Committee Dr. Jeff Iorg opened to Acts and exhorted guests on what it takes to be an impactful church.
Dr. Tom Dawson, senior pastor of The SOAR Church in Woodbine, New Jersey, closed out the Accelerate Conference by putting guests on "trial" and challenging them to reflect on what it means to boldly love their neighbor.

BOLD Breakout/Workshop Sessions
This year's Accelerate Conference featured four breakout sessions and two workshop experiences. Breakout sessions focused on encouraging Accelerate guests to take BOLD moves in ministry through instruction and teaching, while workshops provided a practical, hands-on opportunity to develop BOLD ideas.
